I am a biocultural anthropologist focused on human health from an evolutionary perspective. My current research applies life history theory to examine variation in the onset and timing of puberty among the Toba. My previous research with the Tsimane examined relationships between exclusive breastfeeding duration, infant outcomes, and maternal energy balance. I continue collaborative research on variation in breast milk composition and infant gut and salivary microbiota.
